Pitch Perfect Two star Haley Steinfeld just signed a record deal and is working on her debut album. You may also recognize her from Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video along with other stars like Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez. But one celeb who isn’t in the video is Katy Perry. Speaking of Katy Perry, her manager announced that she will have a new album coming out by 2016. Her world tour is wrapping up in October and we can’t wait to hear her new music.

Just like Steven Tyler coming out with a country song, some other country artists are doing some genre bending. Keith Urban is going to be featured on R&B artist Jason Derulo’s new album with the song “Broke.” Along with Urban, Stevie Wonder will also be featured on the song. So if you are looking for something to do this week, the new Disney movie Tomorrowland came out Friday with George Clooney and country star Tim McGraw. Is there anything that man can’t do? I’m sure it’s going to be a big hit.

Demi Lovato is not shy when speaking out about her struggles with mental illness. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2011 and she has decided to start her own campaign to help others. The campaign is “Be Vocal… Stand up for mental health..”

Big changes are coming for One Direction. Not only did Zayn leave the group, but Niall said there are other changes coming as well. Their newest album will have new sounds and different vibes than previous albums. But they promise that there will be old school vibes as well.

A statement made by radio consultant Keith Hill has stirred up controversy when he said if you want to make rating in country radio, you have to take females. Female country artists like Martina McBride and Jennifer Nettles have fired back on social media obviously disagreeing  with the statement.

Speaking of female country artists, Carrie Underwood was serenaded at the New Kids On The Block concert last night in Nashville. Carrie tweeted the band before the show asking them to play her favorite song, so the boys pointed Carrie out and dimmed the lights to sing her their 2008 song “single.” Carrie gushed about the experience on twitter after the show, thanking the band for playing her favorite song.
